Alabama cops are hunting for a real-life Walter White — not the “Breaking Bad” character — who missed a court date after he was busted for making and selling methamphetamine.
White coincidentally has the same name as the meth-cooking teacher who is the main character of the highly acclaimed AMC series.
A spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office told the Daily News that White’s story went viral after he was placed on the county’s most-wanted list on Wednesday.
The outlaw’s trouble actually began in 2008, when he was arrested and convicted of cooking and distributing meth and placed on probation. He was arrested again earlier this year in Bibb County, on similar charges.
White, 55, violated probation and blew off a court date in July.
Police are still searching for White.
White’s TV counterpart has been far luckier when it comes to the law. The fictional Walter White, a high-school chemistry teacher turned meth-maker, has thus far avoided arrest. The show is in its fifth and final season.
