Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, won’t be playing his senior season for Central Florida, according to a report on CBSSports.com. The Knights were hit with a one-year postseason ban this month after the NCAA found UCF guilty of major recruiting violations.
Jordan averaged 13.7 points for UCF last season and will continue taking classes at the school. Jordan’s on-court talent might not outweigh the distractions he creates off the court. He has made headlines recently after tweeting an adult film star and getting arrested in Nebraska for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Keith Clanton, who had team highs in scoring (14.5) and rebounding (8.1) elected to stay at UCF, tweeting:
“I think to people’s surprise I will be returning to UCF for my Sr. season I love this team and my dreams and goals can be fulfilled here.”
Because of the postseason ban, UCF players such as Jordan and Clanton were allowed under NCAA rules to transfer and be eligible to play the 2012-13 season.
